One drawback to using single cup systems is that you are required to use the beans they sell in the pods. Well, no longer is this necessary.
If you have a type of bean you like, you can always make your own pods. There are several ways to do it. A new invention we found is called the Perfect Pods Maker. It comes with pod sacs and a nifty contraption to press and seal the pods. This one comes with 40 empty bags. It was extremely easy to use and made a pretty good pods by our standards.
Using empty tea bags is another way to make pods at home. Although we found the tea bags didn’t work as well. The shape and the size of the pores seemed to be the problem.
